Commands.
Brigade composed of the Eighth Texas, Second and Third Georgia, the Fourth Tennessee, the First and Third Confederate Regiments of Cavalry, a battalion of Tennessee cavalry, and Gibson's Battery of Light Artillery, Wheeler's Cavalry Corps, Army of Tennessee. At battle of Stone River, commanding a brigade composed of Fourteenth Alabama, First Confederate, Third Confederate, Second Georgia, Third Georgia, Second Tennessee, Fourth Tennessee, Tennessee Battalion, Eighth Texas, and White's Tennessee Battery, Wheeler's Corps, Army of Tennessee. March, 1864, commanding a division in E. Kirby Smith's Army, opposing General Banks' Red River expedition, composed of brigades of Generals Bee, Major and Bagby. Commanding division in Wheeler's Cavalry Corps, in Army of Tennessee.
